Print Screen Deluxe helps you capture what is on your screen and turn it into something useful. You can save a picture, mark it up, print it, pull text from it, or record a video.
This manual is written for everyday users. It explains the main parts of the app. It also shows how to use them and what the options mean.
What You Can Do
- Capture the full screen, one window, a menu, the clipboard image, or a custom shape.
- Capture long pages with auto-scroll.
- Add boxes, highlights, arrows, text, pen marks, and redactions.
- Crop, cut, resize, rotate, shear, add shadows, and change corners.
- Save, copy, or print your work.
- Use OCR to pull text from a capture.
- Record screen video in AVI or MP4.
- Schedule captures and use automatic save or print steps.
Main Parts Of The App
Left Setup Panel
The left side of the main window is your setup area. It has four links:
What am I capturing?sets the capture type and lets you turn on OCR, video, audio, or logging.How do I capture it?lets you set the hotkey.Where will it go?controls copy, auto-save, and auto-print.Optionsopens more settings for startup, image changes, capture, and printing.
File Tab
The File tab is where you open, import, save, print, copy, and paste. It also gives you quick access to scheduling, live update, and the About window.
Edit Image Tab
The Edit Image tab appears when you are working with an image tab. Use it to crop, cut, zoom, mark up the image, undo changes, and apply image effects.
Work Area
The center of the window is the work area. Each capture opens in its own tab, so you can keep more than one item open at the same time.
Session Thumbnails
The thumbnail strip shows the images and other items you opened in this session. You can use it to move between tabs, save an item, or close one.
Quick Capture Button
The floating Quick Capture button gives you a fast way to start a capture. You can turn it on or off in Options.
