Print Screen Deluxe FAQ
Frequently asked questions and answers
Installation Issues
When I try to install Print Screen Deluxe, I get a message saying "Please be sure that Print Screen Deluxe(s) are closed before installing." I have not installed it before. What do I do?
You may have a folder or window open with the words "Print Screen" in the title. Make sure that all folders, windows, and programs are closed before installing.
Also check the bottom right corner of your screen (system tray) next to the clock. If you see a small blue eye icon, that's Print Screen Deluxe running. Right-click on that icon and select EXIT to close the program, then try installing again.

DVD & Video Capture
When I try to capture a DVD screen, I get a black screen. Can you help?
DVD capture can be inconsistent due to video overlay technology, but some users have reported success with this method:
- Start Print Screen Deluxe and set it to Rectangle capture mode
- With the DVD movie frame visible, press Print Screen
- The movie frame will go black - select an area anyway and let Print Screen Deluxe capture it
- The frame should come back into view in the player
- Press Print Screen again - you should now be able to capture the frame successfully
Note: This method doesn't work with all DVD players or video codecs due to hardware acceleration and copy protection features.
