OCR, Video, And Print Troubleshooting

Fix OCR, video, MP4, recording, and print problems when those features do not work as expected.

This page covers OCR, video recording, and print problems in Print Screen Deluxe.

Use it when the app cannot pull text, video recording fails, MP4 is unavailable, or printed output does not look right.

Get Text Is Not Available

If OCR support is not available on your PC:

  • the app shows a message
  • Enable Get Text is turned off
  • normal image capture still works

Use the app without OCR, or try another PC with OCR support.

MP4 Recording Is Not Available

If MP4 is not available:

  • the app switches to AVI
  • a message explains that MP4 is not available

On Windows N systems, install the Media Feature Pack if you need MP4.

Video Recording Failed

If recording fails to start, the app can turn video recording off and show a message.

Try this:

  1. Switch to AVI.
  2. Try the recording again.
  3. Turn on logging if you need more detail.

Try these steps:

  1. Open Print Preview.
  2. Check the printer.
  3. Check Portrait or Landscape.
  4. Check the Position setting.
  5. Review print settings in Options > Printing.
