Click the image on the main Print Screen Deluxe window.  A new window will appear with buttons along the top and left

On the left click "Effects".  You'll see the following window.

 

Choose the special effect you want to apply.  Click <Apply> to test the effect.  Click <Undo> to undo the effect you just tried. 

 

When finished, click the <Apply> button to save your changes..
